Title: k03s spool up
Post by: Jayz on 12 April 2012, 09:15
On my agu 1.8t k03s is there anything i can do to make it spool up quicker? I have custom map, fmic, uprated boost hoses, tip etc.

An exhaust decat will make a big difference. Mine started kicking in a few hundred rpm earlier when I fitted it. I want to say 500rpm but it was a while ago and don't want to mislead.

May possibly have one for sale.

the ko3 is a pretty quick spooling turbo due to its size.

You could always port the manifold
Get it nice and smooth and the exhaust gasses will flow quicker

When is it fully on boost?  Mine was about 2750-2800rpm on peak boost.
