Title: Wasson ere then?
Post by: ALBEEEEY on 11 April 2012, 19:24
I have always wondered what previous owners have done to my car and one of the main things I wonder about is ride height. I know it's not slammed or anything but it doesn't have that VW "Monster Truck" kind of look.

so I've just quickly jacked it up and taken the wheel off for closer inspection. It doesn't look aftermarket but I don't really know what i'm looking at   :lipsrsealed:

and a nice bit of cable tying keeping my car together

any ideas?
thanks in advance!!!

It does look low.  Shockers look standard.  What colour are the springs under all that muck?

Yeah just looks like they have whacked some lower springs on here with original shocks... Unless you have a lining of concrete under your floor pan

the back has these aftermarket shocks

and underneath the rust the springs are rust coloured  they seem like original springs on a car, only reason i want to know is dont want to buy lowering springs and find out they "higher" my car

Same to me, that's the main reason I want  to change the springs to 40mm or 30mm lowering springs but don't want it to sit higher than before with the chopped springs. Not sure how I'm going to work this out though  :undecided:
