Title: How long does it take?
Post by: stfc_gti on 11 April 2012, 14:10
I know i know, how longs a piece of string, but on average how long does a stage 1 re-map take?
Ive read posts abuot people leaving their cars and picking them up a week later, do they all take this long?
Dont get me wrong, i know its not a 5 minute job, but can it be done in a day assuming no faults are found?

Thanks

My custom stage 1 map took a couple of hours. You could be in and out in an afternoon for sure.

We book a window of 3 hours to give us enough time to give the car a full health check, smoke test if needed, carry out pre remap data logging, remap the car and tweak in the dyno then carry out post remap testing and logs.  Most cases we do find hardware issues which nine time out of ten we can fix within the 3hours session, but this means we have to knuckle and become anti social..lol
