Title: Mk1 dial surrounds....
Post by: craig180 on 10 April 2012, 15:46
Just trying to find out if there was ever a version of the Mk1 or clipper which had a GTi style red surround on the main dash surround?

I've hand painted one for mine and wondered whether there would be a market for such a mod if not?

Opinions?

Here's a pic of one I did:

What parts of the vents were painted?

it on the directional air vents, left and right, you will see the same sized plastic beading around the edge.

 looks good from the photo, i've seen badly done ones before.. but if you have a steady hand and keep the paint even no-one should know..

Yeah I bought a badly painted one which prompted me to sand it back and start again.

Will have a look at removing the vents and doing those as well
