Title: Mk4 Golf GTI 1.8T Brake Bleeding
Post by: Skibzee on 09 April 2012, 22:21
I had to change both front brake hoses today, as they were perished. All of the brake fluid for the front leaked out, so i bled the fronts - then the master cylinder. Should i have done the rears, or will i be ok. Also, as i have quite big hands, i couldn't bleed the brake cylinder properly, so put a socket on it, and when my mate pushed the brake down i loosed (got a large squirt of fluid out), then tightened - will this suffice. The brakes are stopping me, but the peddle seems to need pressing down further - this could be in my mind though.
Have i done everything correct?

Thanks
