Title: Mk2 GTI 16v Air filter, which ones the best one to use?

Guys, just as it says, would you stick to a normal one or use an aftermarket?

Just thought id see what everyone is using :)

I just use £5 paper pattern ones and replace it as soon as it looks grim. Plumb the oil breather into a bottle or tank so it doesn't scum your inlet up with oil from the filter all the way up! Before I did this the filter got soiled in no time. You could buy a k+n and clean and reoil it from time to time, I suppose you'd eventually save money on replacements
