Title: dteering rack problem

Hi could anyone tell me if its normal to have play in the n/s tie rod itself?.
 I have removed both tie rod ends and the n/s tie rod is realy loose compared to the o/s

Neither tie rods should have any play, replacements are available are not too difficult to fit...

Correct! The rods have a ball joint at the other end, so same answer
