Seeing as I've only registered this week I thought it rude not to say hi to everyone.
I'm Mart, and go by the name Hotgolf. I'm usually found on CGTi and known for doing gearbox and flywheel work, but thought I'd mosey on over here for a look seeing as a few lads have said good things about the forum.
Bit if car history. I've usually had VW or Audi's, although I've had a 911 in the last few years, and in my younger days and the odd Fxxd and Pxxxxxt.
My latest project I'm in the middle of is a mk1 Berg Cup replica which will be using my old 2.1 16v engine mated to a 6spd Quaife dogbox which I used to run in my old mk2.
Engine was dyno'd at 222bhp(fly) at Mosleys rolling road West Wales, but fell short at last years cgti rolling road in London, when it only made 196bhp in what I can only describe as a sweat shop lol. Temps in the dyno cell where over 30deg, and played havok with the DCOE 45 setup I was running.
The head is being rebuilt as it has a guide issue, and the dcoe's have been dumped for a set of 48 Jenveys running on Megasquirt. I'm way off getting it fitted as I'm still doing body work at the mo. As it stands I've just finished the cage and primered the inside, and fingers crossed may have some colour in there tomorrow.
Anyway, thats it for now.
Laters,
Mart

Good to see your VAG wisdom over here mate. Don't be surprised if you start getting loads of machining requests as I know there's a lot of people on here interested, myself included.

All depends on how much you want to spend really.
I bought an OBX diff for under £300 delivered, but needed a little machining to get it to fit, as I've done a few that don't fit straight out of the box. Not difficult, but a pain in the ar se if you can't got a lathe.
