Title: Dump valve

Hi all new to the forum. Just got myself a 1999 golf gti t and want to put a dump valve on it. Iv read all the posts about dumpvalves and jus got confused i thought all dumpvalves made a pttsshhhh sound but i now realise they dont what i want to know is can i put a pttshhhh dumpvalve on my car with no problems

on going this question i recently put one on my turbo passat forged 007p no or minamal noise with mine but miles better, some people have used others that make noise with no problem and others have had no end of problems so better to be safe in my eyes

Nope the 1.8t does not like dump valves, stick with the Forge 007

Thanks guys gunna get a 007p do u get the tsshhhh sound with a airfilter and these on?  i tried a mates atmospheric one today sounded good but ran like a pile ov sh@t and had a strange burnin smell so that came strate off

007p with an induction kit will get the desired noise   :smiley:

get the latest model the 008 as it holds boost longer, model is much better looking too. and comes with spring kit.
