Title: What exhaust system?
Post by: KingDom on 31 May 2005, 12:18
I'm looking for a performance system for my Mk2 Gti 8 valve but don't know which one to choose, any advise?

I use it as my everyday car so don't want it loud.

Do a search on the site about this as it's been asked a few times, but the main ones people go for are scorpion, powerflow and milltek. I've just put a powerflow on mine, nice and subtle and not too loud, but it depends on who's fitting them as some people seem to complain about the workmanship, so far, touch wood, mines been fine. I'm guessing, but I think most mk2 owners will probably say scorpion.

Just been to get a quote from LongLife exhausts. I was a little shocked when they told me it would cost £360 for the system and they couldn't do twin square tail pipes as the tail pipes will be coming out at an angle because of the shape of the golfs exhaust. Does this sound a little odd to you guys because the tail pipes I have seen have all come out straight.

On conclusion I gonna go for a Milltek System with twin round tail pipes.
