Hi guys, im ready to put in a sub into my mk1 but i dont really know which one to put in.im guessing due to boot size an 8" would be good? I want to get a nice base from it inside the car so more than say 600w but im so out of touch with this sort of stuff. so could anyone point me in the right direction? prices reviews whcih one is everyone using? i dont want it to take up my entire "small" boot aswell.. i dont want it to be too heavy either so even if i have to pay abit more to get a light weight one i dont really mind...
Can Anyone help??
Harry

8" subs are very limited in choice.
Best to go for a 10"
-
Shallow mount sub? I've got one of these in mine:

okay wikked looks wikked, what did u attach it to then? and what was the depth of the back? also does it still boom like a normal 1000w sub. sorry for asking silly q just want to know all the in's and out's :)

All done by studioincar, you can buy just the sub box that fits around the wheel arch from them if you want to do the install yourself. Hard to say about the boom, I was just after a quality install with a bit of poke

Custom side enclosure ftw.
I have one from studioincar. A 10" box with a JL audio. It was supplied with a crappy JL WX which I blew but sounded amazing for what it was.
A friend has a JL audio 6.5" sub in his audi A3 (they come with subs as standard) and that gives a real good punch.
An 8" would be perfect in a mk1 cab.

I have a 10W7 and would suggest you look into buying one.

a friend has 2 square 8" kicker solo barics in a supra, they sound mint,
