Title: Am I going to be able to get away with 8*15s?
Post by: RobinGolf on 30 May 2005, 21:17
Hey,

Just picked up some coilovers and getting them fitted shortly. Looking at what wheels to get and I really want to go for some 8*15s, but use the car daily and don't want them rubbing all the time. I won't be carrying people in the back so that is not really a problem, but I don't want my tyres getting ripped to shreds!

My car is going in for a re-spray at the end of the month so it will be possible to have the arches played with and the arch trim screws removed and bonded on if need be. Will the combination of coilvers and arch rolling/triming allow me a scrub free life?

I know I will regret getting 7*15 if I get them, the 8s will look so much better!

Will the extra inch make that much of a difference if I am still going to have 195/45s on there?

I am thinking of Schmidt Modern-line
http://www.tunershop.co.uk/shop/wheels/15inches.htm

and RH AD cup

I am assuming that these come in the correct offset?

Cheers

Ihave 8x14 on the front with no probs, but my 9x14 on the rear will just catch under load, or if I hit a dip at speed. I would imagine an 8x15 would be ok, but see if you can try before you buy.
