This is my Clipper (older pics, but you get the idea) which has a custom red leather interior.

The car still has the original grey carpet and is currently rocking black mats with black binding. I was originally planning of fitting a Danbury deep pile blacl carpet, but have noticed they also do a red carpet and am now torn between the two!
The black carpet would match the dash and plastic parts of the door trims and contrast nicely with the red leather, but what do we think about a red carpet with red mats? Too much??

Red carpets would be too much. And if they don't match the seats perfectly they'd look gash.
A bit of contrast with black carpets would look better and as you say compliments the dash plastics etc.

Awash with red is not good you have to live with it :lipsrsealed:
I've seen orange tan leather MK1 with the dash done as well

Stick with the black carpet.
