Title: Poly top mounts
Post by: Outlawsaffa1982 on 30 March 2012, 13:05
So today I have been on the phone to demon tweeks and venom Motorsport, trying to get myself some polyurethane top mounts for my vr6... Venom advertises them on line but doesn't stick them anymore and demon don't stock them either!

Does anyone know where I can get them? Or should I just go for standard mounts...

Cheers chaps!

Stick with standard (VR6 spec)

Poly top mounts would be very stiff for daily use, they're track orientated. The VR6 ones are the best to go for as they're heavy duty.

I've standard top mounts on at the moment but they have perished so quickly with the coilovers... Hence why I was gonna go down the poly route! I don't wanna have to keep changing the mounts every 4/5 months...

Are you using good quality or genuine top mounts, they should last a lot longer than 4/5mths

Tbh they were the mounts off the car... First mistake I guess using old mounts! Il give it a go with new standard vr6 mounts, see how I get on with them!

Yep, old mounts will not last long, go for the VR spec and see what happens.
