whats the best oil to use for Semi-Synthetic, 10W-40?

It's good oil, but down my way it's alot more than that!

I bought synta silver 5 litres and an oil filter for a polo last year for £35, vw in camberley.

5 Litres here is £15.15 + VAT down here. :cool:

Same here, and with 10% discount its just shy of £20 with a filter

The best semi-syn, of the correct specification is the oil that is changed regularly.

Yep, and it seems some dealers seem to charge more than others :rolleyes:
