Title: god dam mounts

anyone had an engine mount last 3/4 months before no clue how i done it but the dam things gone again was replaced in jan/feb cant really remember exactly when with genuine vw 8v ones front and rear mount didnt do gearbox one but goner do it this time round.

try using a uprated one, G60 or even better a diesel one

was thining off getting g60 ones, friends got the mk2 at the minute and all he can say is how the f**K have you broken them already lol, he is goner check make sure there the proper ones and that vw did give us the incorrect mounts by taking them back with the receipt to them seeing as there all nice and shiney still might get some free replacements.

i managed to do the same thing with mounts from VW. Totaly wrecked them with harsh coilovers :shocked:

What suspension setup you running?

well its kinda standard needs work as its got gas 1 side and oil the otherside(shocks), there in serious need of replacement but doubt there the cause as there just abit over bouncy and not had it completely yet.

Did you get solid or hydro mounts?  If you got the hydro type this time make sore you get solid ones they're a bit more hard wearing :)

all sorted wasnt the mounts exactly was the dam mounting bracket which snapped only 3 months ago guess when we replaced it should have replaced the bolts too as it sheared right through had to knock what was left out with a mallet and punch :S
