Title: It's good to talk
Post by: JC on 29 March 2012, 19:57
Its good to talk, especially to some of Polis's finest . . . . . . .

This took place after i had driven past them ( law abiding speed )  parked up in a layby, followed by getting tugged a few miles down the road.

Officer: when you came past us were you wearing  your seatbelt ?

Me: yes thanks

Officer: are you sure ?

Me: yep

Officer: Well it didnt look like it to us when you drove past and again, it didnt when we came up behind you !

Me: well its on now, so did you see me putting it on since you pulled up behind me

Officer: No, we cant see much cos of your window blinds.

Me: Biting my tongue during a pause . . . . . . .  :lipsrsealed:

So, when i drove past you were looking in your mirrors, and you couldn't see if my BLACK seat belt was across my body, probably because I have a BLACK Polo Shirt on,

Then when behind me, you cant see anything cos of my BLINDS . . . . . . . . .

But you think I wasnt wearing my seat belt.

A longer pause.

At this point I get out of the Car,wearing my aforementioned works Polo Shirt with company logo and MY NAME

Officer: Whats your name ?

Me: Really ?

An even longer pause  . . . . ..  :undecided:

Me: Oh look, that person driving is on their mobile phone. . . . . .

Another Pause

Officer: Just ensure you wear it all the time

I then got back in my car laughing as they turned round and took off after the car driver who I had just pointed out to them driving past

Its good to talk.

Classic!

Trust them to pull someone based on a hunch!

Question...because they didn't give a causation ect ect, do they still have to file paperwork on it?

I'd imagine they'd probably have to, as they had temporarily denied you of your human rights, however, as nothing was issued and pen never hit paper, I highly doubt it!

"There are no formal educational requirements for recruitment to the police service, but applicants must take two written tests to ensure they have a reasonable standard of English, as well as a numeracy test."

Nuff said.
