Title: Exhaust popping and banging

I currently use a mk4 2.3 v5 20v as a daily driver and i'm getting popping and banging from the exhaust, also ive got the engine management light on the dash , has anyone got any idea's

Is it pulling ok when you boot it?? sounds like it is misfiring

vag com or get a scanner on it and go from there pal i had a v5 that was doing a similar thing and ended up being airflow meter

A mate had the same with his R32 recently, the inside of his cat had disintegrated...

it doesnt sound like its misfiring, but il have a bobbies tomorrow morning when i get it up to temp, ive changed the maf sensor, did that about 4 months ago replaced it with a bosch part so i know there wont be a fault with that, ive done all service requirements aswell just as a safe guard, but il have a look and see if the cat is f***ed , another costly expense to sort out haha ,
