Title: A SINGLE LED WIRING HELP PLEASE

i may be having a brain fart  :grin: i  want to wire just a single flashing LED up  but i want it to come on when the ignition is turned off  aint done  this for years ! how do i do it again ?

would this work ???   

connect the positive + wire to permanant live and negative- to ignition live, wen you turn your key the led will go out and when you turn the key off it will start flashing---

Yes, that should work fine. 

Just temporarily connect up a 12 volt flashing LED in the colour of your choice, and if it's OK, connect it up permanently.

You could put a diode in series just to make sure no current can possibly flow the 'wrong' way through the LED.

I find Maplins the easiest place to get LED's and the plastic clips for them.

hi yes i went to maplins and got a LED  i wired this in yesterday and all good  :smiley:
