just had a milltek exhaust fitted no resonated on my golf anni and it sounds pritty much the same as the standard exhaust, will it get any louder after a week or 2 driving it or will it stay the same?
-
sounds the same?!
one thing i do know is, after fitting my cat back on, it's definitely a lot louder with a decat!
-
had cat back but it doesnt seem any different sound wise?
-
as it carbons up it should get slightly louder but not much ive got a milltek on my aum with a de cat and its just right
-
had powerflow on my leon cupra and that sounded pritty good and im sure that got louder after a few week driving
-
I'd say mine's louder from new than now, loud under acc on motorway apart from that quiet. Crap system too supersprint next or pipewerx.
-
Was your original one blowing?
-
bloody hope its not the same as im about to buy a non res milltek and i'll be pissed if it doesnt sound beefy
-
definatley somehing amiss if it sounds the same
-
I've a full no res Milltek and it sounds completely different to a standard 1.8T Anniversary exhaust. Really beefy sound when you want it. It sounds absolutely immense in tunnels too.
Give it a good few miles and I'd say it'll start to change. I'll try get you a video of how mine sounds at the moment.

It's just cat back at the minute mine, have you got decat or sports cat?
-
Large bore down pipe and sports cat. I think the decat can sound a bit dirty/broken.
It's the down pipe and sports cat that makes the performance difference. Bloody expensive though.
