Title: Good Morning
Post by: Dicksy86 on 28 March 2012, 08:49
I'm a new member and looking transform my mk1 golf gti 1983 a plate, its been a work in progress for the last couple of years doing body work and strengthening to the chassis, its currently running a 2.0 8v engine out of a mk3 golf gti and im currently contemplating a conversion either turbo or supercharger, and wondering if anyone has done this to their own or anyone has got some professional knowledge to support what i want to do.

cheers dicksy86

Hi and welcome from a fellow MK1er

Plenty of info on here.  Take a look at our MK1 section, particularly the maintenance section.  Plenty of info on engine conversions in there.  Also we have around 4 mk1s currently going through 20vt conversions so you may want to have a look at those in our project and dub rides sections.

To be fair tho the newbie is running a MK1 and my knowledge of that pacific model is not great so my thinking is let some else who's in the know answer his questions...

Thanks for your interest!
