Title: Weber carb on a 1.3 mk2 polo

I know its not a golf but im not getting an answers on club polo so i thought you might be able to help ;) , i have just installed a weber 32/34 dmtr carb to my '89 1.3 polo, i am having problems getting it to idle properly and it wont run very well with the choke fully off, as soon as i lower the idle to any lower than about 2000 rpm it just dies, also with the choke off at stage 1 on the throttle it is very rough acceleration stage 2 is fine ???
