Title: Powder coated carriers
Post by: Hector-8 on 26 March 2012, 21:33
Okay got my carriers back from powder coaters and tried to fit the slides. They wont fit as some powder coating may have got in the holes. I have had a look at the slides and they all appear to be thinner on the bottom and gradually thicker towards the top. I have all four slides cleaned up and notice that they are not are the same looking. 2 are squared off and 2 are ringed...

My question is, can I drill the holes out until they slide freely or does this ruin the carrier?? The two smaller (ringed type) slide freely the other two are tight.

Just didnt know whether the insides of the carriers are shaped to fit the slides. If not, I shall be doing some shaking tomorrow.
