Rite im changing my clutch pedal as it snapped recently. Has anyone done this before without using the proper tool to remove the spring? if so what did you use? Thanks
Gav
p.s sorry for double posting. I posted it in the wrong secion.

I just used a screw driver to get the spring out and then when putting it back in compressed it a bit and cable tied it.
Don't forget to put the two little bushes out of the old pedal into the new one as whoever repaired my clutch pedal before i bought the car had missed this out. There was side to side play and the most annoying squeaking / creaking noise every time u let the clutch out
This thread over on uk mkivs might help you out, it helped me sorting mine out anyway
