Title: my little audio project mk4
Post by: gm8 on 23 March 2012, 18:16
So I fancied having a sub in the boot , but did not want anything major or chavvy and wanted to look smart , and be in my budget (only £100)

got this lot for £90 delivered

I have used JBL stuff before and its been good. The tube however was a bit big for my liking and I wanted a close match to my boot carpet , so I set about modding it. I cut the tube about 2/3 its original size , cut new mounting rings from MDF and then retrimmed it in grey carpet (£8) , also made stands as I did not want to use the straps. ( i do realise that subs need a certain volume of air , but this is a cheap build , and im not looking for massive bass or SQ)

im quite happy how its turned out actually, and I can mount it facing forward now at the rear corner of my boot :)

got from ebay , but its from car audio security and you can buy the kit from their site.
I resized and retrimmed the sub box myself.
