Nice. I loved mine. Engine loves to rev whereas the 8v sounds like it's in pain.

just got to get it now i have to drive a defender all week for work
so missing a fun car the revy 16v should be lots more fun on sundays
workshop sorted for one night next week when im not workin late with two lifts so should be quick
ish swop of most bits

When I first drove my 16V, I thought "Well the 8v pulled just as well if not slightly better".
Then I stopped driving it like I drive my Skoda which has NO power after about 4000 revs and drove it properly, and fook me does it go. :evil:

16v is better and faster than 8v fact, you just need to learn how to drive them :)

Faster yes, still not a fast car though. I'm itching to make mine quicker.

there not amazingly rappid granted :sad: but i have given some very tasty newer cars a run for there money :evil: although mine currently is suffering some kind of bad spell which i cant put my finger on whats wrong :sad: i do believe an s3 engine may end up under my bonnet by end of the year :smiley:

That's what I'd like under mine as well. Something that is actually tunable without taking a mortgage out.

not got it yet as he did not ring me till late on sunday hes had someone come clean it inside and out he said .
but by 6ish on sunday after puting the boat away i had beer so no pick up of car he works away :sad: so next weekend now
