anybody got a link to a cheap version of this
(http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/rioracer/FMEGRBP.jpg)
i see loads on ebay for a few quid but thet say theyre only for diesels....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=egr+blanking+vw&_sacat=131090&_dmpt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&_odkw=egr+blanking&_osacat=131090&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313
if anyone has one or the dimensions im sure i could have one cut and d=rillrd out of s/s for a fraction of the cost...... maybe something else for big tone to whip up!!

What are you after it for?
-
There is a blanking plate for Secondary Air Injection (SAI) which is what that FORGE one looks like in the picture.
Then you get an EGR blank for diesels which connects to the exhaust manifold. Not sure about petrols...
-
ok i mean i want a sai blank exactly like the one in the pic but i dont wanna pay that much for a piece of steel!!!!
-
Hack saw?

shall i use a red bull?? make it fly??
-
I'm after one of these as well but don't fancy paying forge prices
-
buy the gasket (which you'll need anyway) then take it to an engineering place and get them to make a plate from it. If I had the sizes I could probably make one out of carbon fibre at work

surely you need to tell the ecu its not on the car anymore or the engine light will be constantly on due it not getting a reading??
Mine needs replacing but can't be bothered to go for a drive to jabba sport who fit a blank and tell the ecu its not there anymore.
Any advice would help me out :D thanks

you just need to put a resistor in place, 330ohm 10w i think

Isn't the code to do with improper flow and can be removed by rtech or similar but otherwise it will always come back
