Title: exhaust options
Post by: NERF 69 on 22 March 2012, 11:45
Does anyone know of any way or any manufacturer of exhausts that can give a diesel a similar grunt as a petrol?

My bro has a 2.5' turbo back with a back box, when its warm it sounds semi gruntish...nothing amazing though.

AMD are doing offers on fitting Milltek exhausts at the moment by the way.  When i spoke to them yesterday they said the non-resonated ones are the louder ones.

I've been thinking of going for a Milltek non res system as somewhere I read the resonated system makes it quieter than the stock VW system?
as for filter... Pipercross panel filter and modded airbox FTW, also thinking of doing the R32 DSG intake soon.

Main difference will be heard when getting rid of the cat, get yourself a largebore miltek downpipe/decat pipe combined with a 2.5" cat back non res system and it will sound nice when giving it some.
