the guy i sold me mk4 1.4 too is selling the exhaust off it sounded beefy on that so darnt risk it on the 1.8t lol it says powerflow long life exhaust on it its a 5 door btw if that makes a differnce to size
-
is it just the back box or full system as i dont think 1.4 will fit 1.8t if its just back box you will be able to fit tho i would of thought
-
its full mate arh so it will onlt fit another 1.4? its not somet ive come to replace on a car yet that was already on te car when i bought it never really liked it was too loud well for a 1.4 all sound and no action lol
-
 iirc i think its a smaller bore pipe mate
-
Will be a smaller bore so no good on a 1.8t.
-
i will have to go check it not sure :undecided:
-
f its catback then it should fit, if its an aftermarket exhaust then its probably a larger bore anyway, measure it, the gti is 2 and 1/4 inch dia
-
the minumum u need is 57 mil internal bore really to gain anything and if its cat back the only thing stopping u fit it will be bore size a bit of choping and flareing as long as its a good bore size will be okay
-
but if its a smaller bore than the standard size wont it be resticting the flow from where you flare it to fit ie from flare to back box will be restricted which i would of thought aint good only real way of telling is to take off and do some measuring mate
