Title: Eibach -40mm springs
Post by: akz786 on 28 May 2005, 15:30
these have been mention many times here - are they the sportline or pro-kit? they claim either -35mm or 45-55mm so are these special to these models that Eibach produce- I wish to lower on 18" with standard shocks and wish to keep the comfort ride so all thoughts welcome. its a golf GTI 1.8 T -99 plate

TIA

When i went down this road i could only find -30 pro-kit and -45 to -50 sportline, I spoke to awsome gti and they comfirmed eibach don't do a -40mm spring for the golf 1.8t   weather or not they used to i don't know, so i decided to go for the -35mm boge springs witch i am well happy with

Thanks guys - yes must be a mathematical round to 40mm from -35mm LOL. Phil that drop looks well nice -35mm u say? on 18" tell you what id be happy with that -is it a smooth drive now? do you have a part/model number for the Boge springs?

TIA

Part No is 80-6065 not sure if there -30 or -35, but i wouldn't pay much attention to what they put on the box anyway, as i had -30mm Ventura springs before and the difference in drop between the two was was prob about 15mm.

Drive is still smooth allthough can be a bit bouncy over bumps, but you will have to expect that from any lowering springs to some extent..

Hope this helps
