Title: Lowering springs twanging! - SOLVED!
Post by: Big Tone on 19 March 2012, 07:18
Since fitting new springs, the passenger side rear spring twangs when I shift the weight of the car from passenger side to drivers side, when moving slow, especially on uneven ground, drivers side is fine, spring seems to be in the correct position and is secure, just this noise that its doing my nut in.

Anyone had/solved this?

Replaced all top mounts 6 months ago, looked fine when I fitted the springs.

I've noticed this with mine as well, sometimes happens to the front springs when i turn the wheel.

Is it a sign of a problem?

I had this; I left it and it went away eventually as the spring breaks in

Sorted, just jacked her up to discover the pass side spring was not located correctly in the lower cup!

Correctly positioned now so we shall see.
