Well got a Golf mk3 1.4 had her for for a few weeks, been doing bits n bobs here n there. but though well why don't i just get a GTI rather than have a fake lol.
Rang Tesco my car insurance to get a quote ready.... 5k :shocked:

My reply was well thank you ill have a think about that.
I'm 27 been driving two years next month, so we went for the two years no claim... looks like ill need an extra 2 years no claim to get that down.
Rant over... but interested to know how old you are male/female time driving and your insurance?

I past at 17 I'm now 25.
I pay £320 fall comp on my gti 8v
At 23 I had a gti 16v and that was £265 fall comp. I told them the car was only worth £500 though.
I also only use it for leisure and 4000 miles a year.
You have any points?

im 19 and have a gti insured for £1500, had an RS clio before that too

I'm 20, driving since I was 17 but have no no claims due to a bump in the snow last year n tha b!tch I hit went thru insurance. I've got a 16v gti and my insurance is £1300, I think my renewal is about £900

At 19 I got my first car. Black 106 gti that was £1200 tpft most iv ever paid

Just paid £1245 to insure my daughter on a 1.4 peugeot 206 fully comp which i thought was quite reasonable considering she's been driving for 2 days.

just been told to look for sky insurance thats £1200. Alot better. just couldn't find any pay monthly option on there tho. ill have a proper look tomorrow. Still dont see why Tesco would say 5k tho.

am 28 an only pay £280 full comp. got 8 year no clams like. even when i was 25 i had a subaru an that was group 20 an i only payed £1000 full comp. u need to just try all the comper site.
just say its in a garage
u only do 7000 or under a year
plus might have to up your exes.

mines only 3rd party FT at the min ( £230) .. im 39 ( FEMALE ) and was disgusted at the quotes i was getting back... im giving no one £600 in exchange for £1,000,000 liability insurance :grin:
though i am gonna have to sort it given the amount of money i spent on my last GTI after vandals got to it twice :cry: when i say vandals i mean the local smack head bast***

simply they don't want your business!
(I pay about £400 fc on my ssat but have had quotes of £1500+ from places that don't want me! believe it or not being middle(ish) aged, working in insurance, married, kids and having a family(ish) car for some co's your still not target!)

I am 35 years old, been driving since I was 17, nil ncb and was quoted minimum of 1250 for my Anni. Adrian Flux did it for 528 and covered my mods for not a lot more. Semi classic policy with 5000 miles.

for the size of that car thats a complete joke considering your age i pay 1900 for my 1.8 and im 19 been driving a yr, rode a vfr 750 before getting a car liscence was gutted when i couldnt use the ncb lol, when im 21 as long as i dont prang it i can insure a starlet gt turbo for a grand.

Try budget, got mine for £170 tpft with 7 years ncb.

try either admiral or elephant same company but switch between both each year!

Don't use Tesco they are sh!t, I'm 23 been driving 3 years now, 2 years no claims 3 points on my licence and to insure my mk3 gti 8v fully comp will cost me without declaring any mods £800ish from kwik fit if I go through moneysupermarket.com or £850ish if I use HIC off the insurance bit of this site and do declare the mods.
Mind you if anyone is unfortunate enough to live anywhere like London they will pay at least double what I pay for a like for like policy. :sick:

I was being quoted in excess of £400 last year, I am in my 30's but only had 1 years NCB as it is a second car. All my NCB go on that.
With these guys i only pay £120 Fully Comp with limited milage of 4K. It was so cheap as they classed it as a "Classic" policy. :grin:

try admiral, i'm 20 (just), 1 years ncb, 2 years licence held, now on a mk3 gti 8v paying £132 a month, just had some quotes for when i get a years no claims at the end of the year and i'll be paying under £1000, weird thing is, a 16v is cheaper by a few pounds

had a brucie with tesco for my renewal
33 yrs old ,1 yrs ncb,driving 8 yrs ,came out 495 for the year till i put in other halfs clubcard and got another 50 quid off happy days,but my car is standard with no mods,brett

just had a quote from bewise for my cabby ive been driveing 12 months got no ncb and its just come up @£1101 im happy with that :)
