Title: urgent help sunroof part rusted

Was in the middle or removing the sunroof seal cuz it was leaking to find a black bit of metal that has 7 screws in it has rusted through on the corner so it kinda explains the leak. does anyone know the part im on about and where i can find one? ill try and upload pics soon as possible but got a few other jobs i gotta do to it aswell lol. Its not the wind deflector its the bit at the back of the sunroof tht needs removing to take the seal off.

Post by: Roverdose on 18 March 2012, 14:22: crikey! i think i can safely say your probably looking at a whole unit as i'd bet my left nut on that part not being stocked new by anybody. i did see a tornado red unit on ebay for i think around £30-35. I'd check all the drains around the sunroof too dude as it must have been constantly in water to get that bad surely!

The 2 fronts are working well someone had bodge the seal up around it with silicon that must of broke when i opened it when i bought it. Pretty annoyed really but kinda expected it was gonna happen. I want it done right so not sure what the best way of going about it is? My sunroof could do with a respray anyway so do u guys reckon i should just get another one and hope that the bit on the sunroof is ok? or get mine sprayed n pay £65 for the bit? Im guessing thats the bit u mean?
