Recently got myself a GTTDI , my first ever VW , always liked the Golfs and thought it about time i had one , so i went for the 150bhp model , very nippy for a diesel , i was taken aback . Living on the coast in South Shields , South Tyneside , don't know if there's many folks on here from the North East , maybe a run out sometimes might be on the cards . I'll put a few pics in the relevant section of the new purchase . Catch up with some of you soon .

Hi there , I'm a Geordie , was driving down A1 today,in mk 5 gti, hit heavy fog and me engine dropped down to 3000 rpm! That's as high as it will go. I believe it's in limp mode!
what is going on ?
I'd love some feed back as I feel the garage service is gona cripple me
any ideas golf gti lovers!!?

Alreet fellow Geordie , i'm just through the Tunnel in South Shields mate . Not sure if i can offer any assistance with your lack of power problem , but i'm sure there'll be someone on here who will be able to help out . Regards , Sean.
