im off to stay in ripon near York for a few days can anyone suggest  of things to do. were on about going York for a day as i been told the some good museums

Ripon haha.. Depends on what you want, Harrogate is around the corner, Newcastle an hour away.. Yorks a good night out too...

lightwiter valleys ok. not amazing but something to do.

york is good for a drinking session on the day, night lifes ok, but normally when we go there we go through the day then go somewere else for the night.

newcastle is a good night out, though could imagine taxi back to ripon would be expensive :D

york races, not sure if theres anything on this weekend but cant beat a few cheeky bets if there is

Ripons got a strip club.. haha!!

I only hear the seedy side of Ripon because its where some of the lads stayed when there was no room at Leeming for us..

Harrogate is supposed to be lush like.

yeah harrogate is a really nice area, one of my mates lives there.

as for romantic type things to do in the area i cant help you sorry haha.

i did take my ex to light water valley though, that was a good day out, some ok rides there, if the suns out its still a good day.

all went well york was nice so was ripon. was all going well intill i got about 30 mins from home and some girl changing her cd smashed into the back of my car :cry:

nah not claiming for whiplash just wont my car sorted. lucky got it looked at and it only ceased the bumper so by a new one and sprayed up and all paid for by her so hopefully should all be sorted in couple of weeks
