I had a look at it when it was for sale at a garage in Williton before christmas and to be fair it is a minter but still just an 8v and not worth that kind of money.

disillusion that the mk3 is as desirable as an original mk2.

I find mk3's and mk2's desirable.....especially 'original' ones.

Surly original mk1's fit into it if you're going to call those pair desirable?

at the end of the day, its cheap compared to some Mk2s  that have been linked to of late,

and they were just bog standard 8vs

If he is in no rush to sell it then one day I am sure someone will.

Me, if i win euromillions just so i get burn it

The mk1 campaign is my perfect car, i was taken to school in one every day as a child by my friends dad who was too tall for it but loved it so much he drove everywhere with the sunroof open.
I loved everything about it and if i had the means i'd have one as a daily.
