when i was looking for a car, i often came across prices too good to be true, and they always were. 08 plate BMW's with 20,000 for £3,000
I would always email/call the dealer just to check and it was always a scam, the dealers web pages had been hacked.

Lots of scams going on on Auto trader and pistonheads. Just gotta be weary of them.

also there is no continuity with the photos compared to the garages other cars for sale, and there is one photo which states "only email at weekends at so and so..." Its a scam.

check the mots and youle soon find out.

sure there was someone on here who bought a mk4 a year or two ago with about 25-30k on it.

my mates mam has a 2001 plate fabia which has only just hit 20k!! some people just dont rack up the miles and only use the car to do the shopping in.

eaqually ive seen ones with sub 60k go for less than a grand.

car market is on its arse and mk4s are going cheep now.

i admit that the price is really low. but might just be that he cant sell it so he's having to put it low or that hes sick of it and just wants a quick sale.

or equally as you say it could be a scam
