Title: no timing marks for mk 3 tdi ahu engine

hi realy frustrated have no timing marks on my 1.9tdi ahu engine spend most the evening on it no joy am changing deisel pump havmt changed any valve timing or anything like that am starting to think the pump could be dead any ideas please!!!
