Title: Buying a MK3 Golf 2ltr 16v GTI

Hey guys and gals,

I am just away to purchase a MK3 golf, as i have a MK1 Golf Cab and now i am moving up the years, hopefully working my way up to a new one in a few years!!!!

Any useful hints for cheap mods? it already has a nice sounding exhaust!!!

Whats the top speed?

Whats the BHP? 140ish??

Hope you enjoy it as much as I'm enjoying mine! 60K on a P, 145mph indicated :smiley: - but needs a lot of road to get there, 26mpg av (best 32, worst 23 :sad:), 1800 miles in 6-7 weeks, can't stop driving it! (Work less than two miles away!)

Me and my mate(he has a 1.8T GTI) went for a 50mile round trip on sunday and it was good fun, quiet roads!!!  were going to craile on the 26th.
 :wink:
