Title: Monza 18" alloys - diamond cutting versus powdercoating...?
Post by: kingbilly on 14 March 2012, 19:02
Just curious as to peoples opinions on diamond cutting as opposed to powdercoating.

My Monzas are 5 years old and are currently diamond cut, with one having been re-cut about 18 months ago but is now needing done again.  The other wheels are showing the start of whiteworm albeit in only small areas.  I just feel this is the start of the end...or the start of major financial upkeep.

Has anyone who had diamond cut alloys now went down the powdercoating route and are happy with this.

What colour options have you went for...if you could post any photos that would be great.  Just looking for inspiration.

Many thanks,
Billy

Hi there !!! Iv sprayed my wheels silver with black inserts !! Still giving it the monza 2 look !!! Mine where whitwormed when I bought them , diamond cut don't last long ( on our roads ) and you can spend and spend on referbs !!! So being a sprayer myself I done them !!! No I have no hassle or worrying about Whiteworm , only if I kerb them !! Lots of lads have looked at my wheels and it's only that iv pointed out about how I done them , they notice they are not diamond cut !!! One year down the road and my wheels still look like new !!!! Happy days !!!!
