Just wanted to know if these would fit where the original speakers are on a MK2 16v??
I want to keep it looking standard but want a little better system.
I know they do these

Thanks

Nope. You need round ones to fit standard speaker mounts.

For example (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Golf-MK2-Front-Door-Speakers-Pioneer-Speaker-kit-/130542780284#ht_1854wt_988)
5.25 inch is what you need.

what even for the back i know they wont fit the fronts, i mean either side of the parcel shelf.

The rears are indeed 6x4...
I can't view ebay at work but presume both will fit if they are 6x4

just to update as well as i should have said, i dont have door speakers i ony have them in the dash and at the back either side of the parcel shelf.

It's easy to fit the 5.25" or 13cm Door speaker's and covers... It's just a screw to hold them in place of the pockets and then running the wires through...
