Title: Spare wheel affecting height?

Here's one for ya :)

Got rear all way down on jom coilovers but there is still a fair gap so just had a thought, I has taken my spare wheel out (save weight) would puttig in back in for example lower it more. Reason I ask is that looking at other pics of people wound all way down there wheel looks alot closer to arch?

Yeah of course it will make it go down more.

Only by about 2mm id imagine though, not much  :undecided:

why does everyone elses car wound down have wheels alot closer to arch?
Got same size tyres as them so bit confused lol :undecided:

Different brands of coilovers maybe? The FK's go lower than joms apparently.

Not an option as the mk4s don't need any more weight added to them lol

Spacers sometimes help. When I put the 20mm on my rear wheels, as it now sat flush with the arch, the tyres touched the arches. Before it looked higher if that makes any sense..

See all these cars with tyre on arch and think cool wish mine was like that.

Weight does make a profound difference to the height, my bilstein b16 pss9 are wound down all the way front and back but because it weighs 1100kg (despite being a 5 door)

To be honest though, I'm not sure I want it very low anyway, the sump is quite low.

its only a 16 anyway so not gunna rock 3 18s and 1 16 lol, plus got tyre weld thingy (thing u get in a can lol)

Ye tis weird lol and annoying :) whole point of colies is so u can go low :D

Does taking rear adjuster out do anything apart from lower it a bit more? Is it safe to do so?

mate not being funny or nuffin but are you sure you wound them the right way cos mine are jom's and at half they are lower than that heres mine with rears all the way down and a good 20+mm left on the front summat definately aint right there
