Well i had a call last nite saying that they have moved into there new unit and my car is wanted down there,
I hope it comes back as good as they say it will,,

Paint , Lead line all the rusty areas, Put on new door and wing,
Put in new petrol panel,,
-
Sounds like a big and expensive job. Would love to have it done to mine. How long do they reckon it will take them?
-
Before and after pictures.
This thread is Bellend without pictures.

.

I like that, Its Bellend without pics,
800 quid they reckons
-
Put pics up when it's finished. Im guessing the car is being masked, not doors off, windows out etc? £800 for that work is rediculously cheap if it includes materials & labour. Fingers crossed it looks good!

So thats sum of the bad areas,, Bottom of drivers door is bad but having a new 1 fitted,,
-
You haven't stated whether the car is to have a full repaint! I think people are assuming that you are? In which case £800 is nowhere near enough money!
If they're doing only what's in the pics, then £800 is a fair price, and should be a good enough job!
With the fuel filler panel as bad as that, there is no way in the world that the wheel arch on the same panel is going to be rust free! be prepared for extra costs, also have them check the condition of the rear shocker mounting points on the body, this area is prone to serious rust, and is only discovered when its too late!

Yeah mate im having full respray,,
Ive been down an spoke 2 them an they will fit a new door an a new wing aswell,
I keep asking them if this is the correct price as seems cheap an they say they hope 2 get more business by doing a good job on my car,
I hope i dont regret this,,,
But i had car 12 years now an never had any bodywork done so im hoping that its money well spent,,
-
Feek me thats silly cheap
Just pray its good bodywork and not shoddywork
-

All I can say is proceed with caution!
Thom
-
Well they just come an took the car away,,
-
I remember my car being taken away, was a bit sad to see it go (went all the way down to Cornwall from MK) and had no idea how long it would take but was surprised when I got a call a week later asking when it could be delivered back. Thing is with paint jobs you generally get what you pay for, unless you pay silly money it's never going to be perfect. Interested to see results.

just been down 2 see the golf,
An the bloke talked me through everythin he got lined up 4 it, He ordered the lead 4 the rear quarters,
Its soundin quite good 2 be fair 4 the money,,
