Just fitted standard exhaust to me 16v still sounds quite throaty and not notticed any decrease in power anyone else notice any difference?

It took many years for VAG to select the right back box for a stock car!
I've seen GTR owners spend thousands on a larger back box and run a rolling road just to loose a few more BHP!

Agreed I'm not too far from where you're aged at, and I have a Magnex 120mm(trying to get rid off) canon on the back of mine :lipsrsealed:

might drop a Pipercross filter in though let the old girl breathe a bit better

or custom stainless 76mm 80mm twins would sound nice!
Depends I've used paper filters and they do a good job of not sucking loads of crap into the TB.
I would try and get a direct air feed so you don't suffer too much from heat soak from the engine block more oxygen= better power!

Wouldnt change the look of my standard exhaust, love it. Do fancy a TSR manifold though, if the rest has to change to suit i will be getting a stainless one made up to look the same as standard

Other than a DTM upswept stainless back box, standard is perfectly suited to the car, as jay said.
