Title: Boot compartment bulb
Post by: Panthera on 11 March 2012, 18:21
Hopefully this should be a quick answer.

I want to change the stock boot compartment bulb (right hand side) to an LED, but I don't know what type the stock bulb is.

I posted some pictures of it here:

They are festoon type bulbs. The one in the boot is larger than the rest. Unfortunately I never measured it when I had it out.

I bought one of these .. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270918432862?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp3984.m570.l1313%26_nkw%3D270918432862%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

Mega bright but a bit fiddly to fit.

Another option would be to run a set of daytime running lights in the boot. I bought a set from eBay for about £5. Haven't fitted them yet but they'll mount nicely on each side in line with the parcel shelf.

You could consider upgrading all the way to the Audi R8 version
