Title: FLASHING OIL LIGHT AND ALARM

I HAVE A SERIES 3 GTI BUT I CAN NOT GET THE OIL LIGHT TO STOP FLASHING. I HAVE CHANGED THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR AND THE PROBLEM IS STILL THE SAME. ALSO I HAVE AN INTERMITTENT SHRIEKING ALARM COMING FROM THE DASHBOARD (I DO NOT KNOW IF THEY ARE CONNECTED AT ALL) THE ALARM WILL SOUND FOR BETWEEN 1 AND 10 SECONDS SEEMINGLY AT RANDOM. ALSO MY SPEEDO HAS STOPPED WORKING, BUT THEN JUST VERY OCCASSIONALY WILL WORK!!!!!!
THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS I AM IN MEXICO AND THE DEALER HERE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS?????? :'

There is a buzzer that sounds behind the dash when the oil pressure is low, get the oil pressure checked out.

Sounds like your low on oil, that may be what the buzzing is, my mates does it when he's low on oil, he has a leak and thats when he know to top it up.  As for the flashing light...  If it works, dont try to fix it, could be a number, of things....  All my mates golfs do it and you need to pay loads of money at a proper VW garage to find out what it is, obviously being in Mexico it aint gonna happen so leave it mate....  Chill and enjoy the ride...

THE MECHANIC HERE SAID THAT HE CHECKED THE OIL PRESSURE (BUT HE WAS PROBABLY NOT SURE WHAT HE WAS DOING) TOMORROW I WILL GET IT CHECKED AGAIN.
