The brakes on my mk2 16v were spongey so checked the fluid it looked black so I changed the fluid an bled the air out but still quite spongey,is there something more wrong than fluid?
-
Rebleed them again, might even be worth trying a pressure bleeder
-
If after bleeding again you get the same spongy feel, try looking at the flexi's, as over time the inner lining can deteriorate and allow the pipe to expand on brake application.

Thank I'll have ago again work permitting this week

could also be the brake servo or masterclynder.??????????????????
