Title: electric window conversion
Post by: lostplanetj on 26 May 2005, 14:07
i have two 1990 5 door mk2 gti's one with electric windows and one without.

the decent car doesnt have electric windows so i want to swap them over.
the physical conversion doesnt look too bad, but it the wiring/electrical side that looks like grief.

how big a job is this in terms of wiring, fuse board, relays etc into a car that doesn't have E/W as standard?

piece of piss. the loom from the back of the switch panel just plugs into the back of the fuse/relay box.

although i dont know what way the wiring runs to the rear windows
