Dont they look nice together

Needs little tlc , like a wing mirror & gear gaitor
(http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q131/billy_vw/007-8.jpg)
but overall i'm very impressed with standard 180bhp.
1st thing ive done is swap air filters, so the turbo now has a pipercross panel filter.
I need to take both cars to a garage to swap the scorpion exhaust from V5 to the turbo.
As i was the original purchaser of the scorpion exhaust & receipt is still in my name, the lifetime guarantee still will be valid.
I have JOM coilovers ready to fit And some of these (as i never fitted to V5)

Im gonna cambelt/waterpump & service
and generally tidy bits up
Progress will follow soon

Been a busy day, but still managed to get the wheels fitted

Exhaust should be fitted tomorrow

looks lovely :) beats my 60 bhp 1.4 anyday! :)

Had a little issue with swapping Exhausts
The one on the black turbo is its original exhaust, so 1 piece
That means i could move the scorpion from V5 no problem
But can not remove the one of the turbo in 1 pc.......
So ive got 2 options
1. find a 2nd hand exhaust to put onto V5
or
2. just buy another new Scorpion exhaust for the turbo @ £300
:undecided: :undecided: :undecided:
So im on the look out for a cheap exhaust at the mo
-
drop the rear beam to get the back bit off
-
Cut the exhaust and rejoin with a sleeve

That's what the bloke in garage said he would have to do if i wanted it off whole...but did not have time as he was only going to do me a sunday morning cash in hand swap over.
Cut the exhaust and rejoin with a sleeve
He did not want to possibly cut in wrong place
He would have done it if it was a simple un-bolt - swap & then bolt up again
If i dont get a 2nd hand exhaust this week, ill just order a new scorpion.
-
New Scorpion then!
I wont tell!
Very nice Audi estate btw!
-
TLC has taken place.
New gear gaitor

Replacement wing mirror
(http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q131/billy_vw/004-16.jpg)
I am going to buy a new exhaust, as the one on V5 is non resonated
& ill get a quieter one.
Ill get the coilovers fitted 1st

Coilovers fitted today

You can see the different height versus the V5 on the front wheels
(http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q131/billy_vw/010-9.jpg)
need to let it settle in for a few weeks to see if it needs adjusting.
New Exhaust on order

This.... oh and I'm sure the coils will wind down just a little more. :lipsrsealed:

The suspension has settled a bit since running it.
Don't really want to drop any lower with 1 million speed humps in swindon & im not getting any younger
so want to keep my spine in tact for a bit longer
