Title: VR5 20V Turbo capabilities?

I am considering swapping VR5 20V instead of upgrading the 1.8T.

No replacement for displacement :)

Does anyone have experience what are the capabilities of the stock internals and what boost and power can be run on stock engine?

Also how strong is the block, what power can be made with upgraded rods and pistons?

if you're going to all that hassle just use the 6 pot. tried and tested.
i've only heard of one properly tuned V5.. i think it was a belgian guy bolted a supercharger to it and made something like 300bhp. That was over 5 years ago though no idea what happened to the car
